For two days this Halloween weekend, a Brooklyn warehouse was transformed into a most beautiful freak show, filled with New York’s biggest bass fanatics flaunting their finest Halloween gear and getting down to their favorite producers.

BangOn!NYC brought back the venerated Warehouse of Horrors for a proper 10-year anniversary banger, rallying top tier artists on a lineup that sparked excitement for months in advance. And in true BangOn! form, a variety of art installations, climbable sculptures, and hair-raising visual displays teleported an otherwise drab warehouse into an otherworldly dimension.

Both nights saw a slew of deep house gurus like Walker & Royce and Dirty Looks act as the heartbeat of the party, knockin’ low-end heavy beats on the dazzling Fire Stage until the crack of dawn. But where the weekend’s true diversity come out was in the trenches of the Earth Stage.

Riding the energy of his very recent album release, G Jones brought an unbridled charisma to his set on Night 1 with the help of fresh The Ineffable Truth tunes and complementary visuals. Gramatik managed to elevate the mood even more with glitch-rock grit that morphed into a very dirty, dubstep-heavy end to his set (during which a rather reckless mosh pit formed, confirming the set’s aforementioned griminess).

On Night 2, Sermon Nation brought out the big guns for a much-anticipated takeover, starting off the night with iX and tsimba, two of Brooklyn’s hottest up-and-coming bass producers. Afterwards, both Sayer and Eprom’s heavy hour-long performances set the evening’s bar at an ungodly height, but Space Jesus had no problems matching up while throwing down in his hometown.

While the crowd was nice and mentally marinated, Yheti came out to fry our minds with a nothing-held-back set of wonky tunes. Closing out the weekend, Of the Trees stepped up to the plate in a big way, keeping heads put until the party was shut down a little after 5 a.m.

This year’s Warehouse of Horrors was an absolute standout. What was your favorite part of the weekend? Check out the photos and let us know in the comments below!
