Don’t Leave Bisco With Regrets, Make Sure You Catch These Sets!

As we all head up to Montage Mountain for one of the best lineups of the season, I’m sure everyone has already made their schedules of who they’d like to see.  Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Shpongle – the no brainers.  Unfortunately, there’s often some serious heat hiding on the undercard that too many miss out on simply because they weren’t aware.  So instead of listing the usual headliners, I’d like you to check out some big talent lurking in the lower tiers:

1.  iX

THURSDAY NIGHT • 12AM • RENEGADE RV STAGE

I caught my first iX set back in February and I’ve been starving for another ever since.  This low-key Brooklyn producer throws down all-original sets, showcasing a style that’s uniquely his own.  Pulling influences from sounds he finds in every corner of the globe, and blending them into something new, allows iX to deliver a fierce fusion of trip-hop and worldly bass bangers that’ll leave you wanting more.  This set does start 30 minutes into Griz’s but, trust me, this is where you’ll want to be. (no shade…but Griz is on literally every other lineup & about to go on tour. Come get your #iXFix fam).

2.  Wax Future

FRIDAY • 1:45PM • OFFICE STAGE

Veterans to this site already know what’s good but, for those who are new, allow me to introduce you to Wax Future.  Philly’s favorite livetronica duo has been consistently tearing up stages for years with their funky, glitchy, high energy sets that are known to be all-out dance parties.  Connor Hansell’s solid production lays the groundwork for Keith Wadsworth’s electrifying, improvisational guitar riffs – a combination that has garnered them the attention of Camp Bisco headliner: Pretty Lights – who not only had them open for him on tour in NH last year, but also featured them on his The Hot Sh*t podcast just last week.  Now, toying with the idea of a live band themselves, Camp Bisco will see the first ever debut of Wax Future with live drums (courtesy of Aaron Harel)! We’re excited to see it all come together.  Be there!

3.  Clozee

FRIDAY • 8:15PM • OFFICE STAGE

Clozee is a young, female producer from Toulouse, France, and anyone that has had the pleasure of catching her live will agree: it’s not to be missed.  She seamlessly combines technical precision with a wild imagination.  Her tracks defy genres as she oscillates between world bass, tribal trap, glitch hop, trip hop, and downtempo.  I was completely enamored by her sunrise set at F.A.R.M. Fest a few years back; entranced in the blanket of emotions she puts into her music, which pours out through the speakers.  Clozee is one of the best in the game right now – but don’t take my word for it. Come see for yourself.

4.  ??? B2B ???

THURSDAY NIGHT • 1:30AM • RENEGADE RV STAGE

This should go without saying but, anytime the Sermon guy says there’s a “special guest,” it’s probably worth showing up for.  Many have made well-educated guesses, as rumors are circulating about who it may be, but #GossipWook has already spilled enough details about this festival.  Just make sure you’re there!  You won’t want to miss this!

ADD ??? B2B ??? TO YOUR SCHEDULE:  RSVP

Don’t forget to download the Camp Bisco app (iPhone/Android) and add these sets to your schedules so you don’t miss out!  By the way, who do you think the secret B2B guests are?  Who would you pick as your top three from the lineup?  Let me know in the comments below and see you on the mountain!  #HappyBisco!
