Just a few weeks ago we spoke about a new festival that’s barreling down on the town of Worcester, MA and the famed Palladium Theater. Adam Straughn and his team have set out to bridge the gap between some of the more hard-hitting genres in the music world: metal, dubstep, and hip-hop. His dreams of putting on a unique fest such as this have been realized, and the full lineup has officially been announced in full.
As we previously announced, Heavy Fest was confirmed to host Sullivan King, I See Stars, and The Underachievers. As the days progressed, more names began to trickle out, and excitement about the full lineup began to build. Headliner Asking Alexandria was an exceptionally exciting addition to the already intriguing cast of characters that Heavy Fest had already revealed. Joining them within the metal and rock realm are Massachusetts locals Death Ray Vision. No strangers to taking things to heavier levels, Figure, SQUNTO, and Yookie have been added as well.
Heavy Fest has certainly set out to establish a very niche brand in its inaugural year, and from the looks of things it’s hit the nail on the head. We’re excited to see how well this whole event comes together and ignites a ruckus in New England.
