In April of 2019, Yankel caught the attention of many avid underground music fans when he unanimously won the Tipper and Friends Mix Contest with his Visuals on the Moon submission. Given positive feedback, Visuals on the Moon was crowned the best mix due its song selection, progression and overall transitions, giving Yankel the opportunity to open the magical weekend at Tipper and Friends Suwannee. 

Since then, Yankel has become an up and coming name in the underground music community, garnering the public’s interest and performing at well known festivals like Elements Lakewood in 2019. 

In 2020, Yankel will continue to be a name to look out for, performing at Psy-Fi 2020 “Guardians of Gaia” in August, along with the release of new music.

 On February 25th, 2020 fans will be given a look into his new 4-track EP, Claymation, with the release of his single “Simple Ways,” a smooth yet entrancing, melodic tune. 

Beautifully produced, “Simple Ways” is the perfect blend of basic harmonies, naturally becoming more rhythmically complex as the track goes on, seamlessly transitioning into the next song on the EP. 

Taking us on an enchanting journey of sound, Claymation is slated with the perfect amount of clean, light-hearted melodies, balanced out with a faster paced, multiplex of crunchy rhythms. Yankel has gifted us a wonderful EP that could be described as a simple yet sophisticatedly beautiful work of art.
