It’s high time to ride the wave of a new feel-good GRiZ release, as his highly anticipated album “Ride Waves” hit the streaming world today, April 5, outperforming already high expectations across the board.

His first album in almost two and a half years, electro-funk master GRiZ enlisted a captivating roster of featured artists to sprinkle an already flashy project with that extra dash of creative inspiration. Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and even funk godfather Bootsie Collins are just a few names gracing the 14-song tracklist that’s pushing GRiZ’s sound to new heights, even grazing mainstream territory with its notable hip-hop influences.

Ride Waves” comes to us after a nearly yearlong social media and music hiatus the Detroit-born producer took toward the beginning of 2018, after wiping his social media accounts clean and joining Red Light Management. When the lead single “I’m Good” dropped early 2019, it was clear the forthcoming LP would be fire. But after sitting back and taking in the album track after track? Damn. Hats off to GRiZ, and welcome back.
