The first release from Heavyside Function has arrived! Coming in hot with fresh beats that slap just right, the ‘Solomon’ EP is that perfect flavor for summer time cruising with your windows down, shades on, and a dutchie lit.  ‘Solomon’ projects an array of nostalgic samples from Griz, Missy Elliott, Nas, Busta Rhymes, The Gorillaz, Tupac, and even Biggie, weaved beautifully through crunchy subs and cool, elegant production that will have you bobbin your head as if you’re at a Pretty Lights show! Collaborating with childhood friend Image.Nation on the track titled, “What The World Means To Me,” the two artists come together for a divine hip-hop sound that makes you feel how Krispy Kreme doughnuts taste.

Track number five, “Blue Sky Rain,” is what originally inspired the project to begin with. “The EP is called Solomon because it’s my reflection on a recent trip to Israel and how different the world is. That song was actually written as a sort of tribute to the innocent families suffering from conflicts that they play no part in,” says the artist himself, Charlie Barry. I’ve got to say, I love the sound you bring and this EP is gonna be stuck in my speakers for a cool minute. Big up and much love! Keep that cool vibin, head bobbin ‘ish coming, fam! 😎
