MALAKAI is back in action with “Odd Views,” his fiery fourth EP flaunting a fierce crew of collaborators in tow. Out today, October 29, the four-track project presents a sharpening of the Brooklyn based producer’s sound design, and support from the likes of Thought Process, pheel., and Bogtrotter makes “Odd Views” a gritty, urban, head-nod bop-machine.

Each track flows into the next with an infectious bounce, exuding the characteristic ambling that MALAKAI’s sonic scenery is known for. Hip hop, glitch hop, and dub influences float in equilibrium, none overtaking the other, all reaching the ear in perfect dosages. As a package, the project is the ideal groove to cruise along your day to, whether at your desk, in your car, outside, or on the couch.

What’s your favorite track on “Odd Views?” The Thought Process collab on “Iota” has got us feeling nice, but damn those cuts from Bogtrotter on “Ism” are buttery. What do you think?
