Adam WilliamsAt long last, a new slug is here. I’ve sat with the new Skope EP, “Beneath,” for a week now, and I am still dumbfounded by the quality and mastery he displays. The UK artist provides ethereal soundscapes, alongside crushing neuro-bass in this five track project.
As his first release with Slug Wife, Skope blends influences from several genres including DnB, hip-hop, and glitch. Because of this, every track distinguishes from the other in character, delivering an incredibly rich sonic experience in twenty minutes. “Beneath” has left me praying to the bass gods in hopes Skope will make a US appearance in the near future.
